Lois, Wednesday, January 6

Cleaned bathroom & 2 rooms in the basement.  Baked 3 loaves of whole wheat bread and all but crusts of 2 slices & 1 full slice were gone when we left for Bible Study at Don & Evelyn's.  Kids back in school so we had more of a schedule going.  Got Aprons cut out for Neva's wedding except for waist bands & ties.  Called Mom about my puzzle and she said they are O.K.--have to do a lot of shoveling to keep warm.  Bible study was broad--but it is really beautiful to have friends to share with.  Lord--Help me to be the kind of friend Jesus was to mankind & individuals.  Give me the unselfishness and courage I need to be a Christian.  Amen.

Washed clothes, cleaned house, daily dozens.  No school so the kids were in and out playing in the snow.  Loel worked on banking the house & checking the furnace & cleaning the basement.  I visited with Kathy Cook after dinner.  She isn't feeling very well, and perhaps it is going to work out for the best for her.  Wanda called to tell me of a book she has that we could study in circle.  Help me, Lord, to keep my priorities straight--give me the wisdom to stand for the right things--with my family in my community--in your world.  Take my life--and help me to live every day to serve Thee.  Forgive me for my blindness and lack of commitment--help me to live nearer to Thee each day.  Amen.
